Bakhtov TKOs Kretschmann, Pirog dominates Jantuah

There was a major upset in Germany today as tough fringe contender Denis Bakhtov won a first round TKO over undefeated Steffen Kretschmann.

Undefeated up-and-coming middleweight Dmitry Pirog won a dominant decision over Kofi Jantuah.

Herbie Hide defeated Hungarian clubfighter Gabor Halasz by third round TKO.

So Herbie Hide will next face Fragomeni, and Pirog is now a bona fide contender at middleweight.

Kofi Jantuah is a good win for Pirog, he KOed Kelly Pavlik's last opponent Marco Antonio Rubio.

I can't find much about him. I do have a couple of Pirog videos though I found on a Russian site - he looks to be very fast. He's a real threat to the titleholders at middleweight.

You seem to be very prejudiced against Eastern European fighters.

Are you jealous because of the lack of good boxers in England?
