Mario Santiago Says Steven Luevano is Running Away

Featherweight Mario Santiago makes his ring return on Saturday night after a year of sitting on the shelf. Santiago has been inactive since last June's draw with WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano. Santiago takes on Gilberto Sanchez Leon of Mexico on the undercard to Juan Manuel Lopez-Olivier Lontchi at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. [details]

I do think Luevano is ducking a rematch but Santiago needs to stay busy though.

Santiago clearly won the first fight, Luevano's good but he wasn't sharp in that fight, he gassed early and Santiago hit him with some hard shots.

Luevano is the Mexican version of Cory Spinks. The guy is even more boring than Vlad when he is in the zone against an overmatched opponent. Santiago beat that ass I heard. I watched Luevano's fight against Terdsak, and he ran like a ***** so I believe 100% that he was gifted a draw against Santiago.

Luevano-Santiago was rightfully called a draw imo. Also Luevano is going to be facing Abe Conception so I'm not sure how he's ducking a rematch.
