He can do much more by fighting then being the governor or whatever he wants to run for. I think people would rather watch him fight right now, he can go into politics in the future, he's in his prime.
Anyone else hoping Pacquiao loses in the 2010 election?

I don't think Roach has any plans to stop, even after Pacquiao is done. He and Khan could go on for a while. Plus he just started working with the fantastic Cuban prospects. I think Roach will continue to train until he is physically unable to.I think when Manny retires, Roach will retire too. They BOTH care about each other and I don't think Manny would want to keep Roach going any more than he has to. It's not like Roach is getting any healthier either. I would like to see them do 1-2 more fights in a ride off into the sunset victorious nothing more to prove sort of thing for both of their sakes. I wouldn't blame them or feel robbed if they did decide that.Comment

You just echoed the sentiment of most of my fellow Pinoys.
But if he wins, I don't think he'll stay long in office. He will be surrounded by corrupt congressmen at the House where he will be battered, especially in the English department
Bottom line, I think he will resign so soon and return to boxing.Comment

I will be the first to pray that he lost after reading this article here...

Imagine being booed as a leader, and at the same time, cheered as wildly being a fighter.
I don't think he can handle being part time president and part time fighter

i hope he wins the election...its a better way to earn a living without being punched in the face
seriously, dude has been fighting for 14 YEARS....he first popped up on our radars in 01...that's 8 years worth of brawls we've received
we've had too many icons that stay/stayed longer that they should; evander, barrera, roy, oscar, JCC...etc
we need another hagler/lennox-like exit from a modern ATG...Comment

i don't have anything against pac going into politics...aside from the fact that his decision to run is very much premature...wait till he retires then he goes to politics..what he's doing is he's retiring so he can join the political bandwagon...Comment
