There is a new second in command at the Wild Card Gym, the boxing home of Manny Pacquiao, and it is 66-year-old former pro fighter Jesse Reid.

Reid, who was in New York Wednesday with Roach charge and unbeaten junior middleweight Vanes Martirosyan (24-0, 15 KOs) confirmed that he is working fulltime at the Wild Card and living in a Roach owned apartment in the same complex.

“I have known Freddie for 38 years, back to when he was a young fighter,” Reid said. “We’ve been in opposite corners but never worked together. I am really excited about this.

I knew Reid got added to the team a couple of weeks ago, still doesn't mention anything about Moorer being gone though. Reid is probably a better number 2 anyways, he has way more experience training fighters than Moorer.

Jesse Reid is a solid pro trainer. I've always liked Moorer, but Roach did very well here.
