It's my belief (no proof I know), that Marg used plaster since he lost to pwill. He or his team knew then that he had to do something or his career was at a full stop. I suspect that the fights with Cintron and Cotto are wins because of cheating.

You know, I used to feel that he used against Cotto too, but after seeing the Clottey fight a few weeks ago, it kind of swayed my opinion the other way. Cotto was still taking shots he really shouldn't have and happened to stay up during the fight. Right before Kellerman said, "shades of the Margarito fight", I told my brother, "damn, this is starting to look exactly like the Margarito fight". Soon as Max said it, we looked at eachother and busted out laughing. Even now I still don't know what to believe.

Either way, its a ****ty part of boxing history that still pisses me off.

I agree with the thread starter,the shoulder roll and potshot will not keep Margarito at bay,if floyd has nowhere near the punching power of Cotto then he will be relying on movement alone to beat Margarito,thats not possible,because Margarito will be in punching range long before floyd,he throws punches from every angle,if floyd does not fight sometimes at least,he gets embarrassed,walked down and stopped!!!For example B-Hops defense is world class,but the Calzaghe workrate edged him and B-HOP and him were the same size!!floyd is way smaller than Margarito!!

In all honesty, before the Mosley fight, I had a really strange feeling as me and partner were discussing the fight. I even threw up minutes before the announcement of substances were made.

As a former fan of the dude, I was severely disappointed in those actions.

Possibly but Cotto takes so many punches it's so hard to say. One thing's for sure, Margarito didn't have plaster in his chin.

I have to agree with the thread starter. The combination of power and his work rate could prove entirely too much for Floyd to deal with. Plus, could you really see Floyd knocking out Margarito after seeing the bombs Cotto landed on him? Floyd would end up breaking one of his hands on that granite head of Margarito.

If Tony had the goods to stop Floyd you'd think he would have won at least ONE round against an elderly Shane Mosley.
