    Article from examiner.com:

According to Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions, who represents Mosley, Mayweather's camp has flat out rejected a prospective fight against a fighter who - post the Margarito fight - many consider has taken the mantle as the best welterweight in the world. Pretty Boy Floyd has kept mum on his future plans, ignoring the retirement/unretirement issue in a recent Super Bowl interview.

Bad news for Sugar Shane - given his stature, if there is any boxer out there most deserving of high-dollar/primetime prize fights, it is he.

Mayweather rejected an offer of US$8 million to fight Antonio Margarito and split with promoter Bob Arum

Mayweather earned $8 million for the fight, while Baldomir was paid $1.6 million. Both were career highs in earnings for each fighter at the time.

Mayweather says money was the issue for not fighting margarito....it was?

You could've said the same about floyd vs margarito in 2006 but floyd chose not to fight margarito.

Gotta get in this. I totally agree with one thing Mayweather has one of the best teams around him for this reason he has been able to stay on top by picking people he matches up good against. There is no way he should be considered p4p one of the best. To be the best you have to fight the best and my God guys seriously who has he really boxed that we can say is today's best. NO ONE AT THE TOP. His team picks them well as much as I like Marquez he is at a very big disadvantage. COTTO #1
