I've noticed the top fighters sometimes spar with novice fighters, but that is usually fighters in heavier weight classes.

Well first u need to establish urself in a Gym u just cant go to any gym an show up an expect for any world class boxer to sparr with you.I boxed in the bayamon gym where Daniel Santos sparred in an after two years he gave me a shot to spar with him but dnt get me wrong i sparred with guys that were jus as good as him only thing is that theyre not really known .Anyways u only get as good as all the hard work u put in.its up to you and yea it helps ur boxing skills to sparr with guys that have better skills than u!!!!!

stick to one gym for now and try to spar as many guys there. The guys dont have to be world class but hopefully theyre good enough to push you and give you a challenge. Also try to mix it up in sparring too , in my gym there's a guy who pounds on the same sparring partner day in day out and when a new member showed up in the ring he was well and truly beat . I spar fairly regularly against some journeyman pros but they are solid and give me a good workout. Keep at it and you never know , you might get a chance to spar a world class fighter.

its only world-class sparing if two world class-fighters are sparring. if i were you i would not worry about world-class fighters because they wouldnt with spar you, you dont have the skill set yet to make it worth while for them. they pay the people they spar with for a reason, because those fighter are at a level to keep their skills sharp or to learn how to deal with a particular style and it is hard work. just spar anyone you can to learn how to fight first go pro and then worry about the skill level of the people you are sparring
