What game plan will Freddie Roach come up with to deal with Miguel Cotto?

For those who know this type of information. What would the best game plan be for beating Miguel Cotto aside from loading your gloves with plaster? LOL. I assume you definitely don't make it a point to fight Cotto inside. Although the reach is even at 67" Cotto has a power advantage so I think Manny will be extra cautious when coming in and about how he comes in. He really will need to employ all those crazy angles of approach in order to keep Cottos timing off and unable to adapt to any kind of rhythm.

I don't think he has any, he will have to develop one. IMO, team pac were probably thinking in fighting Floyd by the end of this year, unfortunately things dint go their way and now they are fighting someone who they weren't planning to. Why you think Roach wanted Cotto to come down to 143? and then raising up the income gained for Pac?

Well I know one thing he'll have manny work on is the uppercut.

Manny didn't have a huge right hand prior to Hatton but he believed that was ricky's weakness so they worked on it all throughout camp and the results were Manny scoring a huge first round KD with a right hand.

Cotto's weakness is the uppercut, cant avoid it for the life of him.

That and keeping his fast footwork plus head movement. So Cotto cant find him with his jab.

Cotto does seem to have problems with pressure fighters, but for some reason I don't see that happening in this fight. He won't be fighting a huge opponent, and if he wasn't fazed by Marg (until the plaster hardened), Mosley or Clottey then how is Pac going to pressure him effectively?

I think Roach is gonna have mayny fight in the middle of the ring but throw punches in bunches and try to push cotto back..

I also think Manny is going to go to the body a lot more since he will have the advantage in speed..

Roach also better teach many how to hold on..no the way clottey did
