No, it's ignorance because people make **** up, get blinded by national pride, use second-hand incorrect information, have twisted views on a fighter or a fight, hate your fighter simply because he's white/black/European/British/American/Rican, etc., then they come at you with some silly statement and try to convince you they are right when you just know they don't know what the fuck they are talking about because they have an agenda and have been watching the sport for 3 months only.

And not 1 serious response from the Cotto haters...There really shouldnt be.A true BOXING fan rarely gets to see fighters like cotto come along..a smart fighter who can go to war if necessary and hits like a mini mule..he doesnt dodge any fighter and has fought the best of the best..only losing 1*...he doesnt trash talk and lets the promoters do their job..Boxing needs more boxers like Cotto.

I don't understand either. I could understand hating cotto fans because alot of them get on my nerves, same way as pacman/floyd and margarito fans.

Cotto has NEVER disssed any fighter. He did not make excuses when he lost to margarito even though margo is a known cheater. He never dissed Clottey or pacman. He takes ANY fight and has fought judah, mosley, margarito, clottey and now pacman. He says he'll give mosley a rematch if he wins and has never DUCKED any fighter. Crazy ! I think it's more about idiots hating than anything. I'm a cotto fan but respect pacman's record, just feel that cotto is at another level as well as clottey, williams and mosley for pacman.

I find all the Quitto comments to be completely absurd. They irk the **** out of me, especially when they're meant seriously and not in jest. I mean, the man was taking a horrendous beating regardless of plaster. What would you have wanted him to do in there - die? This is a sport, not life and death.

With that said, I've never been a fan but I certainly don't have any hate for the guy. I do think he's been looking a bit tentative since the Margs beatdown, but for the sake of boxing I hope he bounces back with something convincing. Good fighters and reserved gentlemen like him are needed. I appreciate him, but I'm not a fan.

You are sooooo right with that. If cotto would've continued againsyt margarito he might've not been fighting clottey or pacman. You know he did not want to quit but thought to himself that he was not doing anything. Look at him now and look at Margarito. There is no evidence on margocheato using plaster during the cotto fight but when i see how cotto fough mosley and how mosley WAXED margo, it makes me think. Cotto had a BAD cut from clottey fight and still did not look as bad as he did in margo fight. You are trying to tell me that was Margocheato's hands?? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
