    Wladimir Klitschko = HOF???

I'm just curious what do you think he would have to do to be a legitimate HOF heavyweight?

He's already done enough - Olympic Gold Medal winner, defeated eight world titleholders, seven previously undefeated fighters, 47 KOs, 53 wins, won the WBO title twice, defended the WBO title nine times altogether, and defended the IBF and IBO now seven times.

There will be some who will always hate and discredit him, like Teddy Atlas, Eric Raskin and even some of the posters here at boxingscene, but there should be no doubt he's achieved a lot.

......I'm a Klitschko nuthugger so I vote a resounding yes as far as what he's done already. Even the haters are starting to come around I sense. You know who you are, and you know I'm right.

I just responded to a previous post about this... but I think it's hard to compair what it ment to be a previous HOF to this gen of HOF... I feel the tellent pool at the time was greater back in the day when boxing had the worlds attention as opposed to today. With all the potential amazing athlets competing in other sports... I would say in this generation he is a HOF... he has beat almost eveyone it just feels like the HW div is really lacking in terms of competition...weather he fight Vitali or not he needs that belt IMO... he unifies he's in...

He has been really really dominat in all of his previous fights, he's a good ambassidor of the sport, holds a PHD... yeah you know maybe he is a first ballat HOF. wait and see i guess!

he's dominated the division for the majoruty of our generation,
he's defended his title a ton of times,
                his records incredable,

                he makes it, trust me,

men have done less and got in the HOF

Yall read ringtv's article a couple weeks back advocating the creation of a super heavyweight division? I'm sure that discussion has been had here before, but it's truly ridiculous that Wladdy gets the benefit of fighting people 40 pounds his junior who are considered to be in his weight class. If Mikkel Kessler spent the majority of his career amassing a gaudy win % against guys the size of Rafael Marquez (and boring the living **** of most viewers in the process), would we consider him a HOFer? Probably, but history's annals would likely qualify his reign as part of the 'Pre-Bantamweight era'.

Trust, I recognize that Wlad is the greatest contemporary HW even against guys his size, but the current weight class delineation is definitely obsolete and belongs in any discussion that involves Wlad and the HOF. Chagaev fight was a case-in-point...
