I doubt that. Pacquiao vs Hatton got more than 800,000. Pacquiao vs Cotto is a bigger fight than that.

It would be ideal if it could be put together that way, and it would definitely generate a lot more to set up a major fight with the winners.

BUT

Too many egos and stipulations would prevent it from ever happening.

Pacquiao vs Cotto will do about 800K. Mayweather vs JMM will do 550-600K.

I don't believe the Mayweather-Marquez fight would do more than 500K. I'm pretty sure it won't be on PPV neither. The fight didn't generate much interest among the causal fans. The ticket-sales ****** and the negotiations with sponsors were also very difficult.
I also don't believe than any fight could even come close to the numbers of DLH-PBF. Most popular fighter vs recognised p4p #1.
