This ruling had been decided at the last WBC Convention that was held in Chengdu, China. If no agreement is reached then the WBC will conduct a purse bid offer on July 17th at the WBC offices in Mexico City. Berto narrowly defeated Collazo by decision in their bout. Each fighter has had one fight since then. Berto easily decisioned Juan Urango last month, while Collazo to keep busy stopped journeyman David Gogichaishvili this past weekend. I'm in the minority, but I'm one of those people who thought there was a clear winner in the first fight. I don't like Berto at all, but he outlanded Collazo in punches and gutted it out to get the victory in the first fight. I've never wanted to see this rematch. It's nothing against Collazo, but I think this is a manuever by Dibella to keep protecting Berto's chin, because everyone knows Collazo has no power. I'd rather see Berto fight someone like Cintron or Angulo if Shane Mosley is not willing to give him a shot. Zab Judah would be a good test for Berto as well. Delvin Rodriguez would've been a good choice too. I have no idea why HBO turned that fight down, because it would have been a hell of a lot better than a fight with Urango. Berto needs to step up to the plate and face a puncher with some decent skills. Real talk.

berto's promoter dibella knew he was gonna have to eventually give collazo a rematch, thats why they decided to fight urango.
berto had problems with the southpaw. collazo will be on top of his game, he doesn't have a lot of ko power but he's gonna have to give it his all and drop berto..

I guess Mosley is getting left off and will take the whole year off. That's what he gets for being so obsessed with Pacquiao. Clottey is his only option we will have to wait and see if it happens.
