I'm in the majority thinking that Cotto is a way better fighter than Hatton. But it baffles me why Arum never made an attempt to make that fight happen before having Cotto leave 140. I think Hatton knew he couldn't beat Cotto, and never made a real effort to fight him, but this fight could have made Cotto a huge star if he would have beaten Hatton before Mayweather got to him. It also would have gotten him a legit championship even though Hatton is a rare case of a fighter that was the linear champ, but not the best guy in the division. All of this is the reason why Cotto shouldn't down talk Pacquiao's victory over Hatton because a victory over Hatton does more positive things for your resume than negative. We know Hatton was never great though, and that's why intelligent observers view Pacquiao's victory over Hatton as hype.
