  • Vitali Klitschko-Nikolai Valuev Reach a Deal To Fight

According to Russian News Agency, RIA Novosti, a deal has been reached for a unification bout between WBC champion Vitali Klitschko and WBA champion Nikolai Valuev. Valuev told RIA Novosti that he reached a deal with Klitschko and the two are looking to fight in the fall. From what I gather, the deal was reached between the two fighters. The promoters have to go over the particulars of the deal and the sanctioning bodies have to approve the fight. [details]

Valuev better train harder than he ever has before. Not really an attractive fight, apart from the novelty value of it. It might at least get rid of Valuev if he takes a battering.

Vitali does not have the power to stop Valuev.

We get to see the giant fall. I think Valuev will be more competitive than people think though. I think Valuev was taking it easy on Holyfield. He's actually improved slightly over the years. He will land the jab and right hand at times, but he'll eventually get taken out. Too easy to hit.
