If Lewis fought in black and white he would be rated as a top 3 heavyweight of all time and his wins would be magnified because of that.

Mercer would be rated like Bonavena.

imo lewis would have won against a prime tyson.

the moment that sealed the top 5 ATG status for me was when lewis beat vitali. lewis weighed in heavier for that fight than any other, he came into thr ring cold. he was against a guy who was younger, fresher, toguher and hit harder. whats more he was just as big if not bigger than lewis which was another factor that lewis had not come across.

yet despite all this lewis won, he survived early on and by the 3/4 round the fight was 50/50. by the time it was stopped lewis had assumed full command and he isn't the type to let the other fighter back in once he is in the driving seat.

a past his prime lewis beat a prime vitali.

its a shame that he never really got the credit he deserved earlier in his career, lewis imo was the best HW before he actually got his hands on the belts.

Lennox is the one who got me back into watching boxing. From those late '90s fights, I just knew he was the MAN and that I had to start getting back into the sweet science.

I guess the reason some struggle to rate him is because of the opposition he beat were sort of passed it.

              Holyfield was passed it.
              Tyson was beyond passed it.

His Two KO Losses against Mccall and Hasim suggests he was suspect to a KO against a Prime Heavy Hitter.

That said, he did beat everyone he faced in the end.

imo, Prime v Prime, i see Tyson winning. Not sure about Holyfield, but probably Lewis UD.

I bet some idiot gives me stick for this, but just saying it how many feel about Lewis. I'm sure many would agree where i am coming from

Lewis is easily top 5 ATG heavyweight, he's arguably in the top 3. He's probably the best heavyweight since Ali.

What do you guys think of the video i made and posted in the thread starting post, I think it covers most aspects f the argument. Even Holyfield explains that Bowe and Tyson avoided Lewis and fought Holyfield becaus ethey thought he was an easier opponent.
