This was mentioned here before, but now Setanta UK have really gone into administration, it makes alot of sense that Haye pulled out of the Wlad fight cos he wouldnt get paid?

You cant blame him though, why should he fight for free in such a huge fight!
All he was getting from the purse was the UK money so its reasonable for him to drop out in my opinion

This is definetely the reason, imo.

They couldn't pay the Scottish Soccer teams £3million. So Haye at best would have been making, I dunno about £100,000 or less.

yeh plus in the interview he done explaining his injury he gets up from sitting very slowly but then walks off completely normal

Also i think maybe it was genuine cos look how much effort and time its taken him to get this fight, surely he wouldnt lose it just for the sake of one pay day? if he won which he is certain he would, then he would be getting big money as a defending champ!

But as a boxing fan wouldnt you want to see a Wlad-Haye fight?

are there other fights in the hw division that would be as/more exciting?

One payday is probably worth up to 2m. And if he lost the fight, there would be no more big paydays.

            Right move.

I'm not into all this conspiracy crap, but this seems EXTREMELY likely.

Really, it wasnt to do with Haye realising he wasnt ready to get kayo'd just yet?

So sky are gonna fund the fight then if it goes ahead? that would make sense, they would PPV that **** to death.

it now all makes sense. good on david haye for calling the fight off if its true. he knew setanta were going under, thats why they insisted on a fight 3 weeks later. why should he risk his health for free

He had a back injury, three doctors confirmed it. You can't pull out of a contract without evidence supporting why. Sorry.
