The thing is, Gatti put up barely any defense against Floyd while Diaz could at least mount SOME defense
And considering that both combos are equally impressive, Pac's combo wins because at least the combo broke past the defense where as Mayweather's landed while there was no defense.
And don't give me that crap about Hatton being as much of a punching bag as Gatti.
The bottom line is that Pac's win over Hatton was more impressive than Floyd's win over Gatti and Hatton combined. And if Hatton is a punching bag all of a sudden, Floyd sure did a bad job of fighting the punching bag because the punching bag actually won some rounds (Charlie Zelenoff anyone?).
