MANNY PACQUIAO prefers an October 17 fight, and not November 14, as suggested by his promoter Bob Arum.

“November 14 nga ang bigay sa amin pero ang sabi ko sa [October] 17 na lang,” said Pacquiao during Monday night’s launch of the Manila Grand Oriental Casino.

Pacquiao, however, did not explain why he preferred an earlier fight.

Pacquiao’s lawyer, Franklin Gacal, confirmed that Top Rank Promotions has proposed a November 14 bout.

“There was a proposal by [Top Rank chief] Bob Arum na November 14 ang laban, but Manny wants it on October 17,” Gacal said.
