    For starters, Manny Pacquiao never fought as an amateur. Went straight to pro.

        There's no bout requirements. All you do is apply, take some physicals, and get liscened in the state you want to fight in. Going straight to pro's is very rare though! The difference between even the weakest pro and a good amature is like night and day.

          I believe Cintron and Wilfredo Vazquez Jr had very limited if any am fights when they signed.
