I think a lot of people where quick to **** on ButterBeam because of the way he looked and they tended to see him as more of a circus act then an actuall boxer...

But you can't deny if he touched you with that right hand you where going to bed....I know he ko'ed a bunch of nobody's but jeez....When he knocked you out...you where gone.

Those where on Ricky Hatton's level of KTFO.

I don't think so. His best win is against Peter McNeeley, make what you will of that. The truth is, he would have never been a legit contender even with a punchers chance. Heavyweights in the elite class would of had too many physical advantages over him. To his credit, he gave fans action, and amazing KO's. Even if it was against par competition.

No butterball was a joke, Half the guys he fought were paid to take a dive. I know a guy who got offered a fight with Butterbean and Mickey Rourke but he had to lose. Butterbean was knocking guys out but all the guys he fought were bad 4 round fighters. For Christ sake the guy had 50 something fights and he was still fighting bad 4 round fighters.

Most of Butterbeans opponents had losing records. Of course this man had power, but did he have talent? That should be the question.
