You know to me it seems like he was bothered by that cut something fierce. I believe alot of those shots clottey landed would have been blocked or slipped had it not been for the cut. That being said cotto ate some uppercuts that night. He should work on that. But I dont see manny throwing alot of uppercuts so I wouldnt worry to much.

Manny and Roach might come up with a single move which their opponent is vulnerable to. Look at the Hatton fight -- Manny worked on his hook & slip move (throwing a punch and dodging a punch at the same time, which caused the first round knockdown). It worked amazingly well, despite Hatton seeing Manny doing it in training. He even said Manny was predictable (on 24-7) -- "Same move every time" -- yet he still got nailed by it because Pacquiao can execute it so fast.

If Fred and Manny have seen a hole in Cotto's defense or a mistake which he makes repeatedly, they will work on it, be it an uppercut or whatever.

Don't get me wrong my man, I would never rule Cotto out or underestimate him, BUT I stand by my words when I say if Cotto fights like he did against Clottey, I don't see him winning. I think Cotto has lost something since the Margo fight. He does not look like he did before that fight took place. Not that he's shot, but something is not right, I can sense it.

I respect your opinion and lets be real this is boxing anything can happen. I think cotto was more bothered by that cut and clotteys hermit style defense than him leaving a piece of himself in themargo fight. Personally I think he will show up better in the manny fight though. And if clottey didnt hurt cotto with those uppercuts you think manny will. Also hatton is no cotto and I think that will be evident from the first round in this fight.

I don't buy this for a second. Here's a guy who's had 45+ fights. Is it really so damn difficult to employ boxing basics, such as keeping your hands up? That's like the first thing you learn! I could have told Hatton exactly what Floyd was telling him AFTER he got knocked down and humiliated in the first round. Any idiot could.

In my opinion, Floyd Sr = **** trainer. Lazy bastard didn't even turn up to the venue until about 30 minutes before it started. Floyd Sr had no interest in Hatton winning, he was only interested in getting paid. He tried to teach an old dog new tricks, and there were plenty of us on here before the fight saying there's no way Hatton can change his ways at this point in his career. Turns out we were right all along.

Pacquiao is simply on another level to Hatton. Always was. Always will be. It's nothing to do with ignoring Floyd Sr's advice because Hatton has fought exactly the same way since his professional career started.
