    Wladimir Does a Go-Slow, Haye Pulls a No-Show

By Terence Dooley - Lennox Lewis’ retirement in 2004 hit heavyweight boxing hard. Lewis, now enshrined in the IBHOF, left behind a division in disarray, his nearest rival, Vitali Klitschko, tried to step into the breech, only to be let down by his creaking limbs. All the while the fragile Klitschko, younger brother Wladimir, 33, waited for his moment to come, recruiting Emanuel Steward [who turned Lewis into a rounded fighter] and gobbling up the belts Lewis had left behind. I agree, Haye should have been at ringside for Wlad's fight on Saturday to show Wlad that he is still interested in the fight and that the bad back was just a minor setback.

Idiot, did you read the explanation that the writer said why he should have been there? Haye is playing the 'bad guy', what better way than to show up at ringside in Wlad's hometown.

Read the articles, then the posts. Not, first read the post, and then respond to the post like my post was the main article or some ****.

Meh, Wlad is booked with mandatories until probably late 2010. It wouldn't make a difference.

It's fine with me if Haye has to have a fight or two before he fights Wladimir. If he losses, Klitschko was just going to obliterate him anyway and it wasn't going to be competitive. If David can make a case that he's the same exciting force at heavyweight that he was at cruiserweight, though, then it'll just make the Klitschko fight more legitimate.

Would have been awesome for Haye to be ringside at the fight. Would of made Wlad want to fight him even more

It would have probably broken Haye's heart to be at ringside. This was his big fight too, until his injury or Setanta's monet problems forced him to pull out.

The Haye fight is the biggest fight for Wlad obviously. But if he wants to take on Povetkin instead while Haye fights vK or somebody else, **** it. If he did take Haye instead, I doubt anyone would accuse him of duckin Povetkin. Hell, both got hurt and pulled outta fights Wlad was ready for, so he can do wtf he wants.

Of course everyone knows Wlad will take Povetkin because he's a *****. Mouths off about Haye saying he'll shut his big mouth and i'll bet anyone he doesn't even fight him. BITCHKO
