    quick question about Sam Peter

Now that Samuel Peter has been exposed, does anybody out there think that his trainers made him worse off trying to make him a polished boxer instead of staying with his go for broke slugging style?

Seemed he had better results before the Toney fights.

I guess way too many of you are stuck up Haye's ass to answer a legitimate boxing question.......isn't this a boxing talk forum??

To me I think Sam's deterioration was more as a result of him coming in in worse and worse shape. It could be that more emphasis was placed on his poor conditioning as he faced higher quality opponents, but it just seemed as though he was in worse condition with each fight.

Against Wladimir he came in in pretty good shape and gave Wlad absolutely everything he could handle. I don't know if he got progressively more lazy after that but he just seemed to not be up to it physically. Particularly against Vitali, I expected him to actually pose VK some problems, but he just plodded forward lazily and let Vitali tee off on him.

        I agree.

There _IS_ a place for fat clubbers at heavyweight boxing. But they won't win against the toppest guys.

Rumours out of Germany had Peter preparing for Vitali at the discos. Peter was sighted almost every night at fancy clubs in the lead-up to the Vitali fight.

Peter loves the good life and needs a mentality change and some dedication if he is to make a splash again.

Yeah, he looked like a different fighter when he was in better shape and more energetic in the ring.

i think sam peter has jermain taylor syndrome.....

he wants to live the life of a champ and all that goes with it, but he doesnt want to put in the work and required effort to become one again....

the difference is, i kinda liked taylor, i gave up on peter a long time ago!
