Because Germans are still ambiguous about their cultural identity. Since WW2 they've been apprehensive about pushing German nationalism too far so as to not conjure up images of well, you know.
But in a way the Klitschko's represent the old white aryan ideal that Hitler talked about but are conveniently from the Ukraine.
So the Germans can adore them without any guilt.
That and I don't think there's been a decent German HW since Axel Schultz.
Ukrainians along with all other Slavic people were considered sub-humans (Untermensch) that's why more Ukrainians & Russians died than ***s and why as many Polish people died as ***s. So viewing them as Aryans like Hitler taught doesn't exactly fit

I dont mean them as Aryans, I meant their physical traits are reminiscent of Hitlers white race ideal. It could also be an example of collective German guilt. Much the way white ******* guilt works in the United States.
