In defense of Wlad Klit, "everybody's got a plan until they get hit."

I think it's safe to say that a tiny amount of hardcore fans find Wlad exciting to watch.

Haye sounds like he thinks Chagaev wuz robbed.

I don't doubt Haye can beat Wlad unless he can't hurt him. Then he's in for a long night.

It should be something to watch.

Where's Lennox when you need him?

Wlad is too cautious and he's been around for a while now to get caught too easily. I think Haye will be like Klitschko's 2-3 last opponents and see how hard it is to get inside or in reach of landing anything significant. Chagaev did land some shots but he was lunging in with them because Wlad actually knows how to use his physical advantages.

You can be 8 feet tall and get outpointed by a smaller man if you don't know how to use your reach and height, Wlad uses those two things perfectly.

David Haye cannot back Klitschko up and he will not be able to land a hard shot when he spends the whole night backpedaling and fighting off his back foot.

Even Giacobbe Fragomeni backed Haye up for the entire fight, it took Haye about 8 rounds to hurt the guy because he was on the run and never set his feet.

            Klitschko will absolutely murder Haye.

Haye won every round on the cards except the sixth though.

Maybe, but the Fragomeni fight is no guide. That style worked for him in that fight, but Haye won't use that style against either Klitschko.

I know he was winning rounds but he was still being backed up and he was very uncomfortable at times. Fragomeni was fighting a very good fight and was doing well until the abrupt ending.

I still don't understand why Fragomeni's corner threw in the towel so fast, he certainly didn't look out on his feet and the ref should have given him extra time because Haye clearly struck him while he was down.

Klitschko does not give up the center of the ring and Haye has a penchant for fighting off the back foot and looking for a single right hand counter. I can't think of many fighters with a style more ill suited for beating Wlad.

He got a bad cut, but that can happen to anyone - he wasn't bruised, it was just one cut. Hardly a pizza face. He fought on the back foot, but that was his game plan for that fight, and he won every round except the 6th, and knocked Fragomeni out in the ninth. Fragomeni is now the WBC champion and his only professional loss is still the fight with Haye, so to have beaten him so conclusively was a good achievement. And that was back in 2006, and Haye has improved since then.

He won't use that style against Wlad or Vitali. Whether he can adapt his style successfully remains to be seen but he knows he has to in order to have a chance of winning.

Change his style to what? Honestly he isn't going to outbox Wladimir, he isn't going to land any jabs. If he isn't throwing or landing punches he will be on the back foot from the start regardless of strategy or intent.

His best chance of winning is coming out like an animal and bum rushing Wlad and hoping to land a lucky shot in the 1st couple minutes.

As far as strategy goes that's pretty terrible and leaves him with nothing to fall back on should Wlad make it through the 1st.
