(im a klitschko fan and a haye fan and most importantly a fan of boxing)...rewatching the 1st brewster fight shows what kind of affect those hard body shots had on wlad.

Brewster is a vicious puncher though.

Going to the body usually leaves your head open for a battering.

Chagaev got real shy about it after getting blasted a couple of times.

i think constant pressure on him would go far. and not clottey type of pressure where ur just in his face. u have to throw...alot.

wlad doesnt like the bodyshots (who does?) and he can certainly get broken down by them (like any fighter). since his head is hard to get its smarter to go to the body, although u leave yourself open more than if u had been going to the head.

someone like haye who has speed and the ability to work angles might be able to get away with it though. if he slips the jab to the outside and fires a right to the body that would be a good weapon. make him cautios of that shot before he brings it over the top.

Brewster fight was before Wlad overhauled his style. Wlad was much more confident offensively back then. I think he punched himself out in that fight.

The problem with the Klitschkos, and specifically Wlad isn't which punches work and which ones don't its getting in position to throw the punches. I wonder when the last time someone landed more than 20 punches in a round vs Wlad.

Won't do you any good to know the weakness if you can exicute it.

They would need the force of will to withstand Wlad's firepower, that really has very little to do with skill (unless they can avoid most of the punches). Still if a fighter can make it a real dog fight, Wlad can be beat in that scenario, but drawing Wlad into that kind of fight is easier said then done and to me has a lot more to do about will then skill.

Punched himself out was in the Puritty fight.

Collapsed was in the Brewster fight. Sdunek (Wlad's co-trainer at that time) said that there was something wrong already prior to the fight as he couldn't warm up properly.

Possibly it was some bug or so.

Only way I see somebody beatin Wlad is knockin him out. He completely changed his game when Steward hooked up wit him. Tryin body ****s against a tall guy like Wlad just leaves you to be hit wit overhand rights and tied up.

and u set the knockout punch up by going to the body. looking for that headshot to come out of nowhere is what has ppl like chagaev standing there waiting. if u can time the jab and slip it to the outside u cant get hit, from there throw a right to the ribs. u can ofcourse slip the right hand too but there will be less oportunities for that. eighter way a fighter with the proper timing and speed could do that, make wlad look for the bodyshots then come over the top.. and theres your knockout.
