    PLEASE HELP: Boxing promotion questions

I am currently applying for my state promoter license and had a few questions that I'm sure many people here could answer.
The details of putting on a show aren't that complicated, I have a family friend helping me out with it who owns his own promotion in Cleveland. So I know most of the bases that need covered from the bonding, to the staff, to the facility specifications, etc.

My question is in regards to amateur/pro cards. Are you ever allowed to have amateur fights & pro fights on the same card? If it is entirely an amateur card are their special rules other than the fight rules (rounds, gear, etc) & money (no fighters $)?

Pro-am shows are not uncommon, but typically you will have 2 sets of officials for the show. 1 for the pros, and 1 for the ams. You should talk to the commission in whatever state you are planning on doing a show, and find out what specific requirements they may have for a pro-am card. Its not the same in every state........
