So Is Wlad Now THE Recognised Heavyweight Champion?

I don't think there's been one heavyweight since Lennox Lewis that can lay claim to being the number one heavyweight in the division! But now Wladimir Klitschko is WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring Heavyweight Champion of the World! Although he doesn't have all the belts is he now recognised as the best heavyweight in the world?

On a side note I was very impressed with Wlad's performance last night! Chagaev is no push over and Wlad controlled him, bust him up, made his corner pull him out and I feel looked good doing it. I would love Wlad to take care of Valuev now!

I thought Chagaev was retired by his corner.

Wlad was clearly the man before yesterday. The Ring belt just makes it official.

Technically his corner did but I feel that Chagaev wouldn't have wanted much more of it anyway. Wlad was beginning to hit him at will! But with that said I'll ammend my original post!

he wilted slightly towards the end of the round. He took some heavy shots but never once did he take his eye of Wlad. Pity he couldn't boxing round his pawing left hand.

Chagaev isn't too great, it didn't prove anything for me. Very boring performance too with a rubbish crowd.

I just don't understand why guys that are getting beat up by Wlad don't just let their hands go in hopes of getting a lucky punch! They are getting beat up anyway and if they go in wild they may get more punishment by opening themselves up but hell with it they were getting beat and may get a lucky KO! I suppose it's easier said than done!

The fight last night was much better than recent performances. I actually enjoyed watching Wlad for the first time in a long while.

The thing that frustrates me is that he only throws straights.

IMO Haye will get beaten up alot worse than Chagaev did.
