Chagaev was more prepared than Wlad. He had been training to fight the russian giant Valuev, but the fight got cancelled...so he was sparring for months with tall fighters and was well prepared for Wlad

Wlad was preparing to fight orthodox glass chinned Haye...he only had a week to prepare for the southpaw Chagaev

Chagaev was in good shape, came in at 225 lbs, his lowest weight since 2004.

Hepatitis B causes weight loss and this being his lowest weight in 5 years would suggest to someone in the medical field that he probably has one of the more extreme cases, I wish Chagaev well in his fight against the monster that is Hepatitis B.
