Jean Pascal vs Chad Dawson who wins?

Pascal will have at least 2 fights before Dawson. He has to fight his mandatory Branco, and there will be a rematch with Diaconu.

Unless Pascal vacates his belt, and I don't think he will, he won't face Dawson before a year at least.

That was what I was expecting: a mandatory and a rematch with Diaconu. Then on for bigger things. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets to Bute first before Dawson. It would make more sense, at least money wise, this should be a real cracker in Montreal.

In all honestly Pasqual is a good fighter but I don't think he has the qualities to beat Dawson.. First off Dawson is a SOUTHPAW which that in itself is hard to fight against when you're a righty. Then he's fast and also slick. I believe fighters like Glenn Johnson would give Chad the most problems.. A pressure fighter with great stamina who has a good chin. I dont think Pasqual is going to be able to outbox Chad and I dont think he even has the power to hurt Chad.

I'd probably favor Chad, but it's not a total forgone conclusion to me. Pascal has got more punching power than Chad I believe. But Chad is more skilled. And if Pascal couldn't figure out a way to hurt Dawson or knock him off his feet, I see Dawson outboxing him to a decision.

Dawson clearly wins but it will be exciting as hell.

Holy crap I can't believe what I'm reading. People think that Dawson will get a gut check from Pascal of all people. Like getting up after Adamek floored him and the 12 tough rounds he went with Glen Johnson didn't toughen him up. Please, and his chin has been checked, he had a flash KD against Eric Harding, he was hurt bad by Adamek (who just happens to be a HUGE puncher) and Johnson buzzed him a few times but he didn't go down. Pascal is an entertaining fighter, but Froch hit him and so did Diaconu. So someone as fast and smart as Dawson would touch him easily. It was a good fight and a good performance. But Dawson is leagues above Pascal at the moment, and will be even when Pascal learns to keep his hands up. It would be a decent scrap while it lasted, but Pascal goes to sleep against the sharp shooting Dawson.

The more I think about the match-up though the more dangerous I see it for Chad. I think Pascal is the one with the better chin and better punching power. So to me, this fight is not a lock for Dawson at all. I would favor him though, because he has better skills.
