    how would paul williams fare

in the fab 4 era of duran, leonard, hagler & hearns?

can he beat the late davey moore @ 154? or mike mccallum perhaps?

    Hagler KO's him at 160.

    Hearns KO's him at 147-160.

SRL UD's him at 147, but Pwill UD's him at 154-160.

Duran UD's him at 147, but Pwill KO's him at 154-160.

u think the 160 version of duran who was competitive with hagler will be KOed by williams? or the 37 year old version who beat barkley perhaps?

Yep. Pwill too tall and too busy for him. He won belts up there, but he still was comin up from LW originally. Not a violent KO, but an attrition style stoppage.

It's always difficult to gauge todays fighters in the midst of their career's against fighter's from another era. As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out regarding Williams. The bottom line really is how much you should put into Williams win over Winky.

One thing is certain and that is that Williams did not defeat a prime Winky. Had he done that in such a fashion as he did with the 37 year old version I would give him a good shot against Duran and an intriguing match-up could be made between the freaks Hearns and pwill. Against Hagler and Leonard I wouldn't fancy Williams chances at all.

                    'Sup Talip?

I wouldn't put Kessler in the mix with the divisions top guys ATM. He has another 'outstanding' mandatory coming up and has a courtdate with his manager and promotor. Kessler likely wont be in the mix this year I'm afraid.
