he will be the best fighter above 135 so far, but too slow.as fighters move up and build more weight their punch resistence increases and i think cotto has the power of a lwelterweight anyway.

Its a boxing Match he will get hit and feel the power. Cotto aint going down early so im sure he will get rocked and likely be the first to fall on the canvas

Bottomline if anyone is getting KOed its pacquiao. a natura 135lber doesnt have the power to KO Cotto who takes thebest strongest shots at 147 and does fine
It's not about the power. Its the speed. People get overwhelmed by speed when they don't know where it's coming from. Cotto has slowed a bit in recent fights. Cotto will have to work hard to get a hold of Pac.

Of course it's boxing and everyone gets hit. That's quite obvious. I'm saying he won't be able to consistently find Pacquiao.

Roach isn't dumb and will definitely have Pacquiao fighthing the correct fight. And these last few fights have shown that Pacquiao has evolved and can perfom Roach's instructions.

He didnt look that slow against Mosley. WHo has pretty much the fastest hands at Welterweight

Pacquiao wasnt that fast against De la hoya. In fact he looked to be a lil gassed after each round.

Pacquiao if he doesnt get KOed will have to fight Cotto 12 rounds and will take punishment. Pacquiaos goin down man

And when was that fight? Before the Margarito fight. He's not incredibly slow but compare him from that night to the Jennings or Clottey fight. There is an evident difference.

Agree with you! As does Rashad Holloway who sparred with Pacquiao and Margo:

"I agree, Manny's power hurt more. Manny's not the most technically sound fighter but he's more so than Margarito. When you have a snapping punch coming at you, a punch that you don't see with some speed on it, that's an explosive kind of power that hurts you. That's the kind of power that startles you and can put you down.

When you have a heavy-handed individual, which is what I consider Margarito, his punches aren't the type that hurt you with one shot but an accumulation of them can put you down."
Sometimes people regurgitate what Floyd Sr was saying before the Pacquiao fight: "Timing nullifies speed".

Sorry Sr, but that's complete horse **** as far as I'm concerned, and the reason why is because you cannot time what you cannot see.

What im trying to get at is styles makes fights.

You cant come fightign the same against every fighter lets see Cottos last 2 fights were with jennings and CLottey.

Clottey has been shown to take flurries no problem so cotto instead waited and thrown only when he knew he would hit clottey and concentrated more on the power of the shot.

Jennings was a blow out and COtto finished him with Speed and Power.

Cotto looked slow because he took a different approach on Clottey.Due to Clotteys style he will bring the speed out n pacquiao and KO him

I dont know man Ive sparred with heavy handed guys and quick speedy guys.

I can shake off a quick 3 punch combo no problem but hwen I get hit by a heavy hand I feel brain shift and Im relctant to let my hands fly.

I have a feeling its gonna play out that way. Pacquiao was backed up against De la Hoya and De La hoya took everything and the kitchen sink that Pacquiao had to offer and shook it off with no problem.

De La Hoya couldve went 12 rounds but it wouldve been embarrassing.

Cotto is no dehydrated De la Hoya
