If Cotto cracks him the way he cracked Clottey with some of those shots, Pac will go down. His chin wasn't granite at the lower weights. It's pure logic.

Pacquiao was basically saying he prepared for his strong left hand, but in his poor english it sounds like he was hurt. Any fool can watch that fight and realize Hatton couldn't hurt him even if he landed flush. Look what that hook did to Floyd, knocking him all over the ring.
I just reviewed it on TIVO
He did claim he had a hard left. I guess he did feel it son

But what about when he takes a shot from Cotto??
Pacquiao hasnt even been tested at WW . He claimed Hatton had " hard Lep hook" and he was backed up by a slow telegraphed drained De La Hoya when he got caught with a rights
How does he respond to a shot from Cotto??? Does his chin hold up? does he feel the pain and get on the bike?
I dont think Pacquiao will stand and trade with Cotto EVER after thier first inital trade. I think Miguel will end up chasing Manny throughout the whole fight. It will consist of Cotto chasing Pac down and Pac fighting his way out of the corners.
I say he cant take a real welterweights punch at all and gets KOed early>
Miguel Cotto is too strong and fast enough to catch pac.

Pacquaio's chin will be getting used to that level slowly but surely and Roach is gonna make sure of that no doubt by bringing in some hard-hitting middleweights as his sparring partners. Hopefully his powers and speed will just go along. His best weapon right now is his speed and his technique. If he trains hard the way he trained his last 2 fights imo his difficult to beat. Lets get it on.
War Pac!

How will Cotto face Pac's footwork? In his past 2 fights Cotto has fought stationary one dimensional fighters with virtually no head movement. It'll be interesting to see if Cotto has the same accuracy with Pac's level of footwork. On the other hand Cotto has slightly better defense than Hatton so we know he's going to get tagged a lot. Cotto is not exactly a knockout artist. He breaks down his opponent first, but to do that he needs to go to the body a lot which leaves his chin wide open for the taking. If Pac can land a punch like the one he landed on Hatton it's lights out Cotto, but I don't think Cotto has that kind of precision to do the same on Pac. I can only see either Pac winning by UD, Pac KOing Cotto with a powerful left hand reminiscent of Hatton, or Cotto bullying and physically breaking Pac down with viscous body shots until Pac can't take anymore and is forced to take a knee. It all depends on how Cotto comes to the ring on Fight Night.
If he tries to box Pac, he's going to get blasted away by speed and footwork. He has to do what Hatton did unsuccessfully and that's physically impose on Pac with his size and strength.
