            MGM Grand sports a casino. Fight at the MGM = more people come to the casino and spend millions that night = more money than you would generate with a couple extra thousand seats.= More money for the event It isn't rocket science.

                  Either way, they need to build bigger arenas. The huge fights in Vegas can seat more than 30k. It just adds to the atmosphere imo.
