I will give you Oscar because he was clearly no good at middleweight.

There aren't many fighters i don't like but i always give them credit where its due and Hopkins deserves credit for beating Tito, Pavlik and Wright.
      Oscar was at LMW. 154.

Hopkins v De La Hoya was at 156.

Paul Williams would get knocked out. He is a sucker for a sneaky right hand, and this is a LHW we are talking about not Antonio Margarito.

That's true that weight was at a catchweight meant to drain Hopkins. Turned out he KOed him anyways.

              Paul has a crazy workrate,
but he's not as fast with his hands as necsassary to beat B-hop.
i agree, williams it not a really smart fighter, all he does is throw a lot of punches. he does not, in any level whatsoever, have the ring savvy that bernard has. bernard makes him look like a fool, and wins a clear desition.

Those other 2, Winky & Pavlik had to come up like 10+ pounds, I'm sorry but at the elite level **** like that matters. Besides Pavlik sucks, even worse than Joppy.

Hopkins greatest wins have been against smaller blown up dudes, Tarver was bigger, but he sucks too.

                Tarver, Pavlik, Joppy = suck
I never mentioned the win over Joppy and i never said he was that good but what that win for Tito does prove is that he could punch at 160, Joppy had faced bigger fighters than Tito and including Hopkins who by the way did his all out best to stop Joppy and couldn't. Joppy was never stopped again until he was way past his prime against a super middleweight Lucian Bute who took 10 rounds to stop him. Tito did it in 5.

Most of Titos fighters were at 147 but that doesn't instantly mean he is incapable of being successful at higher weights, which he was. Tito being blown up wasn't even a question before Hopkins whooped his ass. It wasn't until Hopkins schooled him that those excuses came along.

Winky did have to come up 10 pounds and again, That wasn't an excuse when people were picking him to outwork the older Hopkins, Its only when Hopkins won that the discrediting comes along.

Pavlik had power and has a big frame, Him adding 10 pounds had nothing to do with his performance against Hopkins, He performed so bad against Bhop because Bhop used lateral movement, something that proved to trouble Pavlik by Taylor in their 2nd fight. He also used his defense to take away Kelly's jab which Pavlik uses to set up everything. I knew Hopkins would win because of this but oh no Hopkins was gonna get outworked and knocked out. There was no excuses then either.

Tarver is seriously underated also, the guy had skills and was a good champion at light heavyweight. He's past his prime now though.
