Ike wasn't really avoided at all though. He was a big money fighter. He got that Oscar fight pretty easily, and would have fiought Whitaker but Sweet pea tested possitive for coke which cancled the fight. He also Got a shot at Vargas easily, and got the larger share of the purse. Ike had a name whereas Clottey unfortunately doesn't.
