I have always liked Cotto, but his merit has dropped in my eyes as of late. I think he is a fighter but not a warrior. Morales, Pacquiao, Marquez, Mosley are warriors, since if you hurt them they will fight you, and will be looking to finish strong in the late rounds and not give ground, but Cotto has been trying to run out the clock as of late, and there is nothing I hate more thn that. I find it funny that some people say Clottey gave away the last few rounds, because he was litterally chasing Cotto around the ring trying to catch him and out threw him. I really liked Cotto, but you would think he was Cory Spinks or something whenever he faces adversity (Margarito, Clottey, last two rounds with shane) he runs away and doesn't fight. I hate that.

I didn't liked the way he fought against Clottey. Thinking about it, I would wish they stopped the fight. He won no matter what tho. It's not for the champion to overkill himself in the ring if the other fighter doesn't throw any punches or just stay cover at all times.

How can u knock a guy who has fought mosley,margarito,quintana,judah,& clottey at welterweight? Im more mad at joshua clottey for not taking the initiative & finish of cotto. He was dominating rounds then all of a sudden he would lay on the ropes & let cotto get back in the fight & steal rounds. Cotto is the champion, clottey the challenger.

Clottey lost the fight not because of cotto or the judges but because of joshua clottey. He lacks a championship killer instinct & proper strategy. That is whats gonna keep him & IS keeping him from elite great champion status.
