Everybody's different and noone knows about your body better than yourself. There's any number of ways you could go about it safely.

If i walked around at roughly at 160.....The cardio work at the beginning of a training camp should bring you to about 155. As sparring begins and training intensitity increases it should bring you to roughly 150 with about a month to go until the fight. This would allow me to eat and hydrate to normality on a daily basis fluctuating between 152 before training and 150ish after training. You would simply take on some extra running in a rubber sweatsuit and/or maybe a couple of trips to the sauna to get rid of the last 3-4lbs the final week before the fight.
