i was personally shocked when they announced it. it was 2 months away, i was like wtf they better have some good plans to promote this the right way in 2 months? all big fights get more time than that. i was also shocked when i read that mayweather promotions was the leading promoter, no offense to May but wtf has your company done for boxing? but i think thats part of how goldenboy got him to comeback. so far, this fight has gotten **** promotion for a mega event. you dont hear about it much even in the boxing media. i hear alot of you people getting happy about something not going right for mayweather and claiming that he i not a draw. but honestly, you all cant deny the truth. oscar de la hoya, not matter how popular and how much of a cash cow he was, he got his highest numbers with who? hopefully they have something in store to promote this fight better by september. i remember when there were talks about this fight i was thinking that it was going to be in september and i should have made a thread about it. thats what they should have announced on may 2nd, mayweather vs marquez is a go for september.
