The worse thing about his jab is that not only is he open for absolutely any punch, he doesn't even hit his opponents most of the time, when the jab should be the easiest.

I disagree... I think his jab is surprisingly effective considering how slow he looks.
He was hitting Dirrell with the jab quite a bit. I was pretty surprised when I was watching, because I figured he would be getting outjabbed all night long.

yeah froch landed about 8 jabs cleanly in that fight. Quite amazing if you ask me.

I haven't seen much of Dirrell, but he looked green in that fight. He learnt a lot VS Froch and in my eyes, won, even with poor ***** holding tactics.
I would not say his jab was strong VS Dirrell though, but not all jabs are when you lack the speed vs someone much faster than you.
I'm not a fan of Froch, but he does give it his best.
I'd be interested to see a more confident Dirrell vs Froch, that would be worth a look I think.
I scored it 7-5 for Dirrell, but I can see how he ran himself out of the win, I guess.
It's just a curious issue - who would benefit the most from Dirrell trading more? In one sense Dirrell buzzed Carl late on, but in another Dirrell was pissing blood from his nose and mouth after just four rounds of Carl hardly landing, and looked momentarily stunned on a couple of occasions himself.

Rumor is that Dirrell was not confident in his ability to go twelve, so he was trying to conserve energy early. It cost him, because he gave those rounds away in England.
I think Dirrell who came to let his hands go would take a wide decision from Froch in the rematch.
