great thread, green k sent. ur exacltly right. the average person cant affort to fly off to vegas to see a fight. plane tickets, hotels, plus the ticket for the actual fight. its gettin out of hand. plus we're in a recession.I dont understand why all big fights must happen in Las Vegas?? This is the problem!!! True fans that want to watch and can scramble enough money to buy a ticket dont have enough to make it to vegas and shell out more money for hotels etc etc...They need to go to cities with proven attendance records like Cali,NY, Even Houston. Because there is money here and a great boxing Fan base!! Marquez would sell out Toyota center just like Juan did. Every race supports its fighter Latino more than other IMO. Las Vegas Consist of tourist and not alot of people looking to go to see the fight! This might have been a great Venue back in the day but lets face it money isnt growing on trees these days. I can afford to pay 300 max for a ticket and thats with some saving. More people are inclined to spend more on tix if thats all they are spending on. Promoters have to think like they are holding average joes wallet not DLH's. If anyone is to blame its the promoters and their greed.Last edited by Shadow boxer 3; 06-17-2009, 07:14 PM.Comment

I doubt a fight not involving a Brit would sell out a big venue. Mayweather thinks he can sell out Wembley which is ridiculous.Comment

You pass the Brit test but I'm not fond of the Cobain dig because they were one of my favorite bands growing up and I have a soft spot for them. Good rhyme though.
