i think if this fight gets cancelled its the smartest thing floyd could do.
Now i never made it a mystery as to where i stand as far as mayweather goes: i appreciate and love to watch what he does IN the ring but could care less for floyd OUTSIDE of the ring.
no hating or nuthugging (just wanted to make that 110% clear).
I think floyd isnt ready. not for a top fighter like JMM; esp after the longest layoff of his career with tune-up fight no nothing...
i think going straight back to top level competition would be a mistake. sure mayweather has trained and sparred; etc but training and sparring can only HELP prepare you for the real thing...it doesnt guarantee YOU are READY for the real thing.
I know he was top p4p when he walked away but i think a tune-up would be in order to insure when he does fight the best he is ready because after such a long time away from the sport you never know if the fighter than fought hatton will show up or the one that looks rusty.
just my opinion.
thoughts?
