Its seems not too many people can look at the situation from a realistic point of view. Some are making it seem that Mayweather has no drawing ability whatsoever. This is False and had the fight gone on I think it would have done decent as far as ppv is concerned. High price tickets probably would not have been the best idea either. For those who make it seem like Floyd is at a De la Hoya level of drawing that is also false. Nobody is Oscar. Period. What Floyd does bring to the table though is the ability make a big fight bigger. I doubt anyone her would deny that any big name fighter would do the biggest numbers of their career with Floyd. There is something to that. People say he needed Oscar's and Hatton's fans to do huge numbers witch is partially true. However when Oscar fought a guy that was already loved and adored by in Trinidad the numbers were well short of what Oscar did with Mayweather. Does that mean Mayweather brings more fans than Trinidad? No. What it does mean is he has the ability to get all of his opponents fans as well as people who may be indifferent to both fighters but want to see him lose. At the end of the day as long as people pay for it right?

As I have continued to say, I'm not big on ppv sales and ticket sales. But the FACT of the matter is that THEY WILL TUNE in when he fights. It doesn't matter if they pay or not. It doesn't matter if they tune in to see him lose or not.

I know more people who passed the chance to see Floyd fight Ricky than paid to see him fight.
