I don't think it will. Chagaev is a far better fighter than Ibragimov; and Ibragimov came to survive, not to win, whereas I think Chagaev will really come to win.

Under The Ring's rules, if the #1 and #3 contenders fight each other, then at The Ring's discretion, they can declare it to be a fight for The Ring belt, which they usually do when there is no possibility of the #1 and #2 ever facing each other. In this case, it fitted their criteria pefectly for allowing the #1 and #3 discretionary rule, because the two brothers are #1 and #2, and will never fight.
