I will. You can't erase the past, what a fighter has done in the past is already stuck in your memory. The fight that made you a fan of his, won't go anywhere.

I was crushed when Jones got brutally KO'ed by Tarver and Johnson, but i still defend him and support him because that is what real fans do.

I respect you that you are only a boxing fan and you don't care about any particular fighter, that's good because when you are a fan of a particular fighter you get judged as not being a boxing fan. Like me and you can like the same excat fighters, then just because i like Floyd you tell me i don't know nothing about boxing.(not you in general)

I'm a Roy fan first but Floyd is right on par there with Jones so i defend both of them the same way. Luckily there is nothing got defend Roy about because he gets no hate because he has already lost. Once you lose, the hate goes away. When Floyd loses you will see a lot of people showing him more love. You know what they say "People hate to see you on top"...and that is very close to being actual factual.

The only reason I have issues with Floyd is for the Facts. Those Facts are not important right now. I can tell you what id [as a die hard fan] would like to see when i watch a fight and floyd is in it... Id like to see him get knocked on his ass and find his way back to the ropes and get up and win. Or fight his ass off. Lose a fight and take a beating and comeback and kick ass. [exp] Lennox vs Nas]]] And do all this....And this being the most important...By fighting PRIME top guys and the best there is. IMO I think he is one of the worst fighters out there and he is boring. Most call that Hating. I can care less about him to hate him. He just dont do what i like in a fighter. He may for you and others and thats fine. If he would do the things IMO that id like id be giving him his props.

I was a fan of Gatti right through and beyond him lacing up the gloves for the last time. There were tough times, but it was a hell of a ride!hehe


I also cannot fathom a fan of Floyd bolting over this rib thing. This is something where the blame needs to be shared by Goldenboy also. I said in another thread that fans have short memories. Floyd as a fighter and GoldenBoy as a promoter need to rekindle those memories. Greed in this instance will just leave them broke.

All Floyd needs to do is fight one non PPV fight to get momentum going again. I personally will not question his ability to fill seats. DLH never saw a PPV sell 2.4 million copies with any other opponent, so that shows you that Floyd has the ability.

What fans are asking of Floyd now though is to fight a good welter and remind us why he demands those big checks. Lets see where he is at. Fight an HBO freebie and go from there.

When I stopped liking certain fighters, it was usually because they were cheating. Taking steroids/EPO or loading their gloves.

I'm not really a "die-hard" fan of any fighter though. I'm a die-hard fan of the sport.
