This is great news! No Teddy Atlas bashing Wlad during the fight.
Actually, BJ is an old sparring partner and friend of Chagaev's. But he is too image conscious to bash any fighter and does some real good analytical work though. He sees things really well from the sidelines, too bad he doesn't see the same openings when he is in the ring. He gets too cerebral while fighting.

Yes, BJ seems too classy a guy to discredit and bash a fighter the way Teddy does.

Maybe when he retires, he can replace Atlas permanently - but that would be too good to be true...

I like him in studio. I have never heard him call a fight. Hopefully, he is up to the task

Then don't watch it, and don't post comments about it.

I get a kick out of people who say it will be boring, but show a strong interest in it by continually posting about it.

If that's what entertains you, your life must suck.

Now Tunney, you do a hell of a lot of fighter bashing on here as well, don't single out Atlas for something your guilty of. Teddy isn't the best anaylist in the business, but he's solid and he trully looks out for the integrity of the sport. More than can be said of Jim Lampley and some others. Atlas isn't perfect, but he is better than most give him credit for.

Difference is, Atlas is paid to be objective and give accurate analysis, and he FAILS to do it every time...

I don't agree with you at all. Atlas is lacking in integrity, and he rarely opens his mouth without expressing his biases. Lampley isn't perfect, but he's MUCH better than Teddy.

Atlas does a poor job of selling our sport. Casual fans are turned away by the negative, bitter Atlas and his repetitive bashing of the heavyweight division, but Lampley and Steward are doing a good job of keeping fans interested.

Althought I would have liked Bernard as well.
