    The Mystery of Pacquiao's Chin

People have been saying for about a year that he was to get KTFO vs. all of his recent opponents. It hasn't happened. Back when Pac was at 135 people were saying he had no chance vs. the likes of Hatton. Mayweather, Mosley, and Cotto would decapitate him, or so they said. Now people are changing their tune, giving him a real chance vs. even the best WW's in the world. Is it the improvement in elusiveness? Footspeed? Head movement? Chin?

Despite the one-sided affair with De La Hoya, DLH actually hit Pac with a few solid left hands. They seemed to visibly bother him but he was never hurt. IMO he was never in danger of being stopped during his run at 130.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, can Pac really take a flush shot from the elite Welterweights of the world i.e. Cotto, Mosley, or Mayweather? So far his chin hasn't really been tested from his ventures at 135-147. This is a major factor in his chances of beating the best in the world at Welterweight.

obviously his game has improved greatly over the years but also when he was KO'd he was severely weight drained not too mention he was just a boy in his teenage years. Pac is a man now

he wont be able to handle a flush shot from mosley or cotto, the fight night weight would be huge-still think he has a chance against cotto though

Hatton landed a good left and it stunned him. Pac has been outstanding in his performences and has avoided being hit flush because of his tactics of constantly moving out and coming from angles.

However. Pac still makes the same mistake hes always made and everytime i post this, only silencers and wmute even awknowledge me on this.

Pac jumps in with his chin exposed, angle or not, then after he throws his flurry, he constantly overreaches with the right or left hand and he is completely exposed. This is why someone like mayweather, or mosley even, could score a highlight flush shot because its open. Guzman even would be another one to do it. There is no mystery about his chin, his speed is whats kept him in the game at this high of a weight, however there will come a point where hes going to fight someone with an actual defense and hes going to feel it.

Good points but surely pacman has a good chin, I mean despite being open at times he's eaten some monster shots from Marquez, morales, barrera, etc. and never went down or KO'd. That says something about the strength of his chin, not just his angles/etc.

Ricky shook him up slightly with 3 or 4 shots, but he never really landed anything flush. I think he has a pretty solid chin but it hasn't really been tested at the higher weights as of yet.

no pac cannot take a powershot from a anyone (cotto or mosley) who weighs as a middleweight on fight night.

that's just preposterous. a welterweight cannot hang w/ middleweights.

i dont think its so much his chin that he will get ko at it is his body and its already happend thats what cotto will go for i belive if he watches the tapes and marquez hurt him to the body as well in their second great fight.
