    Dear larry,

With all due respect, please allow me to take this opportunity to humbly say that this thread is one of the ******est thing i have ever read here at BoxingScene and i am starting to think that you might be an imbecile.

    Sincerely,

You guys do realize that you are comparing a canceled fight with other fights that actually took place right? The hype from 24/7 hadn't even occurred yet. It seems like ticket sales were disappointing at that stage, but who knows how many tickets would have ultimately been sold.

The TRUTH is, Floyd does not have any real fans like Hatton or Gatti or ODLH. These three guys mentioned could be fighting a circus clown and people will turn out to watch them fight.

The only reason people would turn out to see Floyd fight is because they think that he might lose. I bet had he faced Margarito, the tickets would have sold BIG TIME no matter what Floyd says, Cotto would have generated interest, Mosley would have generated interest but Floyd always has to relie on other peoples fans and none of his own because he aint got a hard core base. I know he has a bunch of nuthuggers but these are broke ass clowns who aint got no money, the rest are children who still live with mommy and are broke too cus they aint got no real job.

I wish I can give you more green Ks for that!

I honestly think he came back because, seeing as it took him 10 rounds to dispose of Ricky, he thought Hatton would KO Pacquiao (probably with a body shot) and he'd get to fight him again for another stellar pay day. I'll bet the promo trip to London was planned before the Pacquiao-Hatton fight, too. That was part of the plan, and despite Hatton getting crushed they had to stick to their arrangements. What other reason did Mayweather have to come to the UK?

I believe this whole thing has backfired on Mayweather and he is actually scared of Pacquiao.

Come on Sam..you are a good poster. But I strongly disagree with you. He came back because Pac was the man and they were saying that Pac would beat him. As a competitor, that is a GREAT reason to come back to prove that you are better than the guy that everyone is raving abouy.

What has backfired on him? Low ticket sales about a MONTH prior to the fight? Him being scared of Pac? No, I highly doubt. The bold is probaly the funniest thing I have read on here in a while. He is not scared of Pac and Pac isn't scared of him. End of that argument.
