If you really think only 3000 tickets were sold then I question the presence of a brain in your head. all the $150 tickets were sold out within a week, anyone who has been to a fight knows that the uppers in the mgm alone hold OVER 3,000 people. about 100-200 were available to the fans. They did this to drive sales because once the fanbase saw that these were gone they would go for the other price points

but when you next price point is 300 or double the cheap seats and literally a few rows in front of the cheap seats (some of those were also in the top bowl in case you didn't know) people balked

tickets were pricey but by fight time place would have been packed. Margarito/cotto didn't sell out till like the last few days. Since when don't mexicans fill a vegas arena for fights??????? **** chavez jr when he fought in the mandalay bay against vanda he had at least 10,000 people there. I'm not convinced that this fight wasn't going to sell. Especially without 24/7 going yet. The major obstacle they had was the very short notice but i think they would have over came that. There was 10 of us going to this fight and we were all excited for it......and for vegas of course but still. So the injury is fake then??? Screw the contract, screw marquez, floyd doesn't want to fight so he can pull out and fake an injury with shafer and dlh being cool with it? I don't think putting the fight in september will boost any sales if that was the problem. You know as well as i know mexicans don't buy into the "do it for cinco de mayo crap" or any mexican celebrated day all we want to see is a good fight! Look at marg vs cotto **** sold 20k plus in the middle of January of all months. pbf vs jmm is still the same fight no matter what days its on. My old roommate was going to vegas to see this with us and he's more of an MMA guy but he wanted to see this fight. I think the media is just trying to **** on floyd. Marquez against a lesser opponent would have done more than 3000 in this same time frame. So im not buying marquez vs floyd was selling as bad as the media is trying to play it. The media just likes hating on floyd.
