Should be a good fight if made at 147. Id give Manny a slight edge, but having watched the Clottey fight a few times now I'd say its alot closer than I first thought. Manny isn't KO'ing Cotto that's for sure though like some Pac nuthuggers are saying..

Lets get one thing straight
Cotto is a way better all around fighter than both Hatton and That version of Oscar. He hits harder than Hatton and a Oscar with nothing behind his punches. Lets see how pac holds up to the body attack and the big punches Cotto will land cause lets face it both fighters have weak defenses
I dont have much but Im willing to put all my points on Cotto.

I don't know guys...Cotto is my favorite boxer and has been for some time, and yes, he is a beast. Yes, he has overcome great odds to get where he is now, and even as i feel he still has more to show, and has not yet quite...reached his prime, I'm a bit uncomfortable with this fight. I think it was hatched too soon, out of nowhere, and i just think cotto needs 1 or 2 more wins tucked under to finish polishing his technique (defense mostly), especially with manny.
I also think he could use some time with a real trainer, and add a better cutman to the team, although he did ok with that nasty gash, i doubt anybody else coulda done any better with it.

Cotto is a beast at best, but Manny really, really loves to just fight. I mean, this guy is in heaven when he's in the ring, fighting for his life, even when the favor tilts the other way, he's still thrivin' on it. He's a monster. He is blindingly fast, and he can hit hard, and is always very hungry for a win.

It boils down to who wants it more, and mental and physical conditioning. I don't know if Cotto is truly done doubting himself for real confidence like Manny has, and confidence plays a big role in fighting. I'm not a boxer, but i have been a real fan for a good 40 years. I'm kinda where Chuckguy is on this. If i had any points worth talking about, I'd put them on Cotto too. I wish i had as much confident as Chuckguy in Cotto, though.
